Post-Acute Physician – Battle Creek, MI

Maverick.MD is recruiting on behalf of a growing physician group for a full-time post-acute physician in Battle Creek, Michigan.

This is a daytime post-acute position centered on skilled nursing and long-term care. You will round in local facilities, following your own patient panel and delivering steady continuity of care. There is no night call, and the schedule stays predictable.

What you'll do

• Complete thorough patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations
• Build and update individualized treatment plans as patient needs change
• Partner with nurses, advanced practice clinicians, and facility staff on daily care
• Oversee admissions, discharges, and handoffs between care settings
• Keep clear, timely clinical documentation for every encounter
• Communicate with patients and families about goals of care and next steps

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active Michigan medical license and DEA registration
• Background in primary care, such as family medicine or internal medicine
• Comfortable practicing independently in skilled nursing and long-term care settings
• Clear, compassionate communicator who works well with interdisciplinary teams
• No unresolved disciplinary issues

Compensation $250,000 - $300,000 with uncapped productivity income
