Post-Acute Physician – Dover, NJ

About the role

Maverick.MD is recruiting on behalf of a growing physician group for a full-time post-acute physician in Dover, New Jersey.

This internal medicine–focused opportunity centers on rounding in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, with daytime rounding and no night call.

In this role, you'll care for a diverse patient population while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

What you'll do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs
• Monitor patient progress and coordinate care to optimize outcomes
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff, advanced practice clinicians, and facility teams
• Educate patients and families on health management and preventive strategies
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulations

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active New Jersey medical license and DEA registration
• Experience in post-acute, skilled nursing, or long-term care settings preferred; new graduates welcome
• Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
• No unresolved disciplinary issues.

Compensation

Estimated annual compensation of ~$225,000-$260,000. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, professional liability coverage, and CME support.
