Post-Acute Care Physician - Michigan
Maverick.MD is seeking physicians for positions in post-acute and skilled nursing facility settings in Michigan.
This is a mostly weekday position that offers a flexible practice model, clinical autonomy, and the opportunity to care for a medically complex adult population in a facility-based setting.
In this role, physicians will deliver ongoing medical care to patients in post-acute environments, including conducting comprehensive assessments, reviewing medical histories, performing physical exams, developing and adjusting individualized care plans, monitoring patient progress, and helping coordinate care to support quality outcomes. The position also involves collaborating closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, educating patients and families, and maintaining accurate, timely documentation.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate, team-oriented physician with a strong clinical foundation and solid communication skills. Experience in post-acute care is helpful, but physicians with backgrounds in primary care, acute care, emergency medicine, or clinic-based practice may also be a fit. Newer physicians may be considered depending on training and overall readiness for independent practice.
The group is looking for someone who can practice independently while also working effectively within a multidisciplinary care model. Physicians who are comfortable managing chronic conditions, caring for older adults, and navigating transitions of care will be especially well suited for this opportunity.
You do not need an active Michigan medical license to apply. Maverick.MD can help you obtain your license. Non-board certified physicians are welcome to apply.
This opportunity includes a structured onboarding process, access to clinical and operational support, and room for professional growth. It is well suited for physicians seeking a stable full-time role with meaningful patient relationships, strong long-term potential, and a balanced weekday schedule.
