Post-Acute Care Physician - Pennsylvania
Maverick.MD is currently seeking physicians for post-acute care positions.
This is a mostly weekday, full-time role designed for physicians who value autonomy, continuity of care, and a flexible practice model. The position focuses on rounding in facility-based settings and caring for both short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term residents.
In this role, you will provide primary care services in a post-acute setting, including patient assessments, chronic disease management, diagnosis and treatment of acute and ongoing medical conditions, development and adjustment of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and prescribing and monitoring medications. You will also coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, communicate with patients and caregivers, and help support healthy lifestyle changes and successful long-term management of chronic and age-related conditions.
This is a Monday through Friday position. The role is well suited for physicians seeking a strong work-life balance while maintaining meaningful, hands-on patient care in a growing area of medicine. Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited US or Canadian medical school or ECFMG-certified international medical school
ECFMG certification, if applicable
USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3 passed
Recent clinical experience within the last two years
Completion of PGY2 or more
No history of unresolved disciplinary action affecting licensure
Willingness to work in post-acute or long-term care settings
Location: Rural Pennsylvania
Compensation: $220,000K - $285,000K
