Medical Director / Physician – Albany, NY

Maverick.MD is recruiting for a growing physician group seeking a full-time Medical Director for its post-acute care team serving the Albany, New York area, including Scotia and Amsterdam.

A physician in this role will split time between direct patient care in skilled nursing facilities and medical director leadership, including quality oversight, collaboration with facility leadership, and clinician mentorship.

What you'll do

  • Round on patients in skilled nursing facilities five days per week

  • Provide medical director oversight: quality initiatives and staff education

  • Build strong working relationships with facility administrators and nursing leadership

  • Develop and adjust individualized care plans

  • Mentor advanced practice clinicians on the team

Compensation

  • Estimated annual compensation of $190,000-$220,000 (fee-for-service), with no cap on productivity income

  • Additional monthly medical director stipend

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with an active New York license and DEA registration

  • No unresolved disciplinary issues
