Medical Director – Worcester, MA

Maverick.MD is partnering with a growing physician group to bring on a full-time Medical Director for its post-acute practice in Worcester, Massachusetts.

You'll lead clinical care across skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in the area, rounding in person during daytime hours with no night call, while directing the local medical team, advancing quality programs, and building trusted relationships with facility partners. It's a hands-on leadership role for a physician who wants real influence over how care is delivered.

What you'll do

• Direct the medical staff serving post-acute facilities across the Worcester market
• Round in skilled nursing and long-term care settings on a predictable weekday routine
• Establish clinical protocols and mentor physicians and APCs in your buildings
• Work side by side with nursing leadership, therapy teams, and administrators
• Oversee admissions, care transitions, and discharge planning for your patients
• Lead quality improvement efforts that raise the bar across the practice

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license and DEA registration, or the ability to obtain both
• Experience in post-acute, skilled nursing, or long-term care settings is a plus, but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Demonstrated leadership ability, whether formal or informal
• Personable, decisive communicator who earns the trust of teams and families
• No unresolved disciplinary issues

Compensation

$385,000-460,000 with unlimited bonus potential
